i got to day 30 on my first try and then gave up on trying to get further

i think the most importent thing to do is to get a few of the spruce saplings on almost evry day afer you complete your quota because if your quotas complete you can stay outside until 2am and then get teleporterted to inside your home so its always worth the try

Is it just mee or does the linux version doesn't spawn any trees?

Now I tested it on two different devices and it is still the same; Rocks also doesnt spawn

That’s so bizarre Y_Y I’ll look into it when I get the chance

Cute game. Beaver controls are very "slidey" (like on ice). When a movement key is released, the deceleration to a full stop should be very quick. Like ~0.25s. Maybe even less.

got to day 26 and started turning into a beaver. no upgrades nothing just building a dam off pure instinct

this is such a cool game :D

Great job! Just wish I could figure out how to play XD

I died caus i didn't know what all the icons wer

I had the same experience. The further you go don, you'll find different trees for the different woods. Mud comes from mud piles. I didn't know about these two on my first run.

I love this! My first time playing I made it to 22 days on my fourth run. I know this is a class project and maybe you're not planning on expanding it at all, but if you do, diversifying the later game would be cool. Some ideas: More upgrades (or breaking the existing ones into more tiers), a way to earn back the insurance, and occasionally putting seeds toward quota. On the other hand, please don't do that, I don't need to get more sucked into this...

Cute little game. Very nice sprites. Music is sounds very daunting. Made it only to like day 7 on my first run, but managed 35 Days on my second.

Very fun, can recommend.

Would love to play a full version of the game some day!

Cute game. First try, I only lasted to day three because I couldn't figure out what one of the resources was. I saw wood and stone. The other one looked like a seed, but it didn't accept the seeds I gathered. Maybe add a legend of resources somewhere?

I'm also unable to figure out what that is, did you figure it out?

Okay I played some more and for anyone reading this in the future who is having a hard time: The only resources the game asks you to get are dirt/mud, stone, and three types of wood, never seeds. The sprites for the wood as displayed on the quota list are different from the way the wood looks when collected and stored. One of the quota wood sprites especially looks like a seed but it's not, it's just the wood. A few times I couldn't get the quota tracker to accept my resources and thought they were wrong but it was actually because dropping resources places them sort of randomly and if you are standing on the edge of the quota zone, you might accidentally drop them outside. Just pick them up and place them more carefully.

I absolutely love the concept, the artwork and it makes so much fun to play! I only lasted 9 days during my first run aaah

The only thing that made it a bit too difficult is that the birch trees basically never dropped any wood for me - even after cutting down 4 trees in a row it only gave me seeds, that's why I had game over at day 9 :( Maybe the droprate of birch wood could be a tiny bit higher?

My friend sent me a video about this game because he knows that one of my favorite animals is the beaver, so after watching the video (very cool too), I played it. This game is very cool, the art style is really cute and the animation are very funny with the construction tools. It’s a good roguelike and, most importantly, a good beaver game !

hey, any chances to bring it to linux too?

oop yeah i’ll try to get that up tonight

Linux build is up now! :)

thank you so muchhh!!!!

the soundtrack is ominous lol

CUTE! 🥺

Seeing a lot of black screen freezes...? Consistently happens after clicking "Play" and going inside for the night.

Not bad at all. Definitely a little hard because I'm bad with keyboard controls, but a full game like this could be worth it.

A very interesting game. The cheery artstyle and simple gameplay would suggest a calm and whimsical experience, but the ominous music coupled with the lack of any other beavers around creates a creepy atmosphere. An interesting juxtaposition. Nonetheless it was pretty fun! I made it to day 19 :)

love your youtube channel, love your games

I would love to see it expanded!! Maybe drop it on steam, use this as a demo, and make something no one else wood!

Great game, I loved the art!

Great game! I like the management aspect for being able to plant far away trees closer, was always in the back of my mind. Got to day 16 before passing out, misread the close trees as the far away ones.

made it to day 22! excellent game as always

Fun game! Got to day 16. Good stuff.

Very cool game, great project for your class. Got to day 12, quota wouldn't accept my logs :O ah well, was fun

I like it

I didn't manage my birch trees well enough and passed out from exhaustion on day 10 trying to drag logs from way down the river😭
